Honda: day one
Today I…
…wore glitter for the first time in two months.
…smiled at the cute waiter with gauged ears and tattoos at Tin Drum. He might have smiled back. I don’t even know.
…tried to remember how to smirk.
…invited a new guy friend (?) to hang out with our group. (Hung out, had a nice time; he bears striking resemblance to Mikeyway in many ways, and shall henceforth be referred to only as not!Mikey.)
…stood up to my Studio Art teacher about the subject matter of my current project.
…began a potentially long game of evil conniving and stuff that will, in the long run, require more confidence than I currently possess.
…conquered my fear of singing just a little by singing with V in preparation for having a band— mostly because not!Mikey plays the banjo and we want to steal his banjo skills for our imaginary band. We wrote a song. Like, with a tune and words, from beginning to end. It sounds like something out of a 1930’s musical. It is, in essence, Bubblegum Soulpopunk. And I listened to the recording without wanting to stab myself in the ears. It sounded kind of… awesome, even. This is the first song we’ve written together, so it’s kind of a huge landmark. And I’m legitimately proud of it.
Tentative End of Semester goal: I don’t want to make one, because the real one I have is morally questionable, and the one Kensington wants me to have seems both too big and too small at the same time. I’ll get there.
